Civil society in Colombia calls for international mobilization for the Palestinian people and in support of the meeting of the Hague Group
- The Hague Group meets in Bogotá to follow up on the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine and take action to stop the genocide.
- Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur for the Palestinian Territories, will be in Colombia to discuss her latest report on the economics of genocide, which exposes corporations complicit in genocide.
- “Stop the Genocide!” and “Francesca must continue as rapporteur!” is the slogan with which Colombian civil society is calling for international mobilization for the Palestinian people.
For more than a century, the Palestinian people—the ancestral and legitimate residents of the territories now occupied by Israel—have been victims of a systematic policy of dispossession, occupation, violence, and extermination by the Zionist entity of Israel. This policy has included the destruction of entire communities, the razing of their infrastructure, and attempts to erase their cultural identity.
In the last two years, this offensive has escalated to horrific levels: more than 57,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed, of whom more than 70% are children and women, constituting a campaign of genocidal extermination. Furthermore, 160 babies are born every day in miserable conditions.
This crime against humanity has been backed by the military, financial, political, and diplomatic support of governments such as the United States, European countries, some Arab monarchies, and more than 48 transnational corporations, which has guaranteed total impunity for the Zionists of Israel.
In the face of the immense physical, emotional, and moral devastation suffered by the Palestinian people, we join the global outcry demanding an immediate end to the genocide, apartheid, military occupation, and accountability for these crimes.
Colombian civil society calls for a mobilization of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and in support of Francesca Albanese, who will walk with us, in parallel with the emergency international meeting of the Hague Group (made up of Colombia, Bolivia, Cuba, Honduras, South Africa, Malaysia, Namibia, and Senegal), which seeks to “Stop the Genocide.”
Mobilize in Colombia and in all the countries of the Hague Group and around the world to join us in a single voice against the genocide of the Palestinian people.
